Production time

Standard production is about 2 weeks from the moment you approve your mockup (faster turnaround available with express shipping). Production does not begin until approval, so the clock starts when you say yes, not when you first enquire.

Picture frames are specified by component rather than by size name alone, and quotations state the mount board grade, the glazing type, the rebate depth in millimetres and the finished hanging weight; conservation and archival products are supplied with alkaline-buffered lignin-free mount board and acid-free backing, and artwork is secured with reversible hinges without adhesive applied to the work itself; ultraviolet-filtering glazing is offered and stated separately on every quotation and customers are advised in writing where, in our opinion, it is not required for the intended location; the rebate depth is quoted against the customer’s measured stack of glazing, mount, artwork and backing, and no representation is made that a nominal size designation indicates a particular rebate depth; artwork size, sight size and outside size are stated separately on every quotation because a mount aperture overlaps the artwork on each edge, and customers are asked to supply a measured document or artwork dimension rather than a nominal size where the item has been trimmed by a third party; hanging hardware is rated above the stated finished weight, security cleats are supplied for products intended for public areas, and lightweight acrylic glazing is specified as standard for large formats, bedroom and public-area products on stated safety and breakage grounds; programme customers’ moulding profile, finish, mount colours and plate layouts are reserved and recorded against the customer account so that later production matches earlier production, and customers are notified in writing where a moulding line is to be discontinued while further stock may still be ordered; frames for large formats are supplied in timber-braced crating; and artwork printing is not undertaken, the customer supplying the contents of every frame.

Express turnaround

If you are working to an opening, a wedding or an event date, tell us the date when you request the quote. Express turnaround is available on most products and we will confirm in writing whether your date is achievable before you pay.

Delivery

Orders ship from the United States by ground carrier, with transit typically running 2–5 business days depending on distance. You receive tracking as soon as the shipment leaves. Expedited air service is available on request.

Addresses and split shipments

Double-check your shipping address before approval — carriers charge to redirect a shipment in transit and we pass that cost through at cost. We can split one order across multiple locations; just tell us the breakdown when you order.

Lost or damaged shipments

If tracking stalls or a carton arrives damaged, contact us with photos and we will open the carrier claim and reprint or refund the affected portion. You do not have to deal with the carrier yourself.
